Carina Bay Beach Resort Questions
Remember to drive on the left side!
From the airport parking lot turn to the LEFT, past the racetrack on your right side till you come to an intersection.
Turn RIGHT (remember to turn into the left lane) and follow the double highway (66) and drive to the end of the highway, which brings you to Sunny Isle Shopping Center on your left. There is Wendy s restaurant across the street on the left side and straight ahead on the right side is a gas station.
Turn RIGHT (681) and drive this short road to the very end where it ends at Hovensa Oil Refinery.
Turn LEFT and take that road (18) to the far end (when the road parts to two, keep to the right of the road) where it ends in a T . There is a restaurant on the left (Junie s Restaurant)
Turn RIGHT you will be heading on south on Route 62. Proceed along for 10 minutes, the road curves to the east, ocean on the right side, country fields on the other side. Keep going, past Camp Arawak (Boys Camp) on right after going down a small hill.
You are passing a dairy farm and a restaurant South Shore Café on your left, at the next intersection turn RIGHT (624).
You will pass a Mini Mart on the left side and drive this short road to the end, to 60.
Turn RIGHT, follow it along about 10-15 minutes around several curve roads, and you will see DIVI (with the pier) off to your right in the distance, along with some houses.
Keep driving another two minutes down the hill and you will be at the hotel. Divi Carina Bay Resort is on the right side. Parking in front of the hotel is reserved for Guest.
Transportation
Taxi Service: Taxis are abundant on St. Croix. In Christiansted, taxi stands are located near the Government House on King Street, and on Market Square. Frederiksted's taxi stand is next to Fort Frederik.
Bus Service: Buses run regularly between Christiansted and Frederiksted from 5:30am to 9:30pm except Sunday. Service is also available from both cities to and from the airport. Exact change is required. For more information, call the VITRAN office at 773-1290, ext. 2291.
Car Rental: Most major rental companies and several local rental companies rent automobiles on St. Croix, offering everything from four-wheel drive Jeeps to luxury sedans and minivans. Parking can be limited in Christiansted. Most major roads are well-maintained asphalt. Please remember to obey all speed limits, wear your seat belt, and drive on the left!
