It's All Included

Soak Up The Sun

St. Maarten’s temperature remains constant year-round, averaging about 80°F (27°C) each day, with water temperatures around 78°F (25°C) closer to the coast. Don't forget your reef-safe sunscreen!

Dollars, Euros, or NAF?

The official currency of Dutch St. Maarten is the Netherlands Antilles Guilder (NAF), but US dollars are widely accepted, and nearly all prices are listed in US dollars. On the French side, the official currency is the Euro, but many outlets accept US dollars.

Know Before You Go

What to Wear

St. Maarten is laid-back and informal. Evening wear is typically casual. It is not permitted to remove any part of your swimwear on the beach or around resort pools. There are a few clothing-optional beaches on the French side.

Road Rules

On St. Maarten, vehicles drive on the right-hand side of the road and international traffic signals are used. Foreign and international driver's licenses are valid.

Drinking Water Safety

There is no need to purchase bottled water at Divi Little Bay as the resort’s tap water is pure. If you prefer bottled water, it is available for purchase at all restaurants and our on-site mini-mart.

Plug In

On the Dutch side, the electrical current is DC 110 volts, 60-cycle, so plugs from the US fit all of our outlets and a converter/adapter is not needed. On French St. Martin, the electrical current is AC 220 volts, 50-cycle.

Shop 'Til You Drop

Find out what you can and can't bring back from the islands: U.S. Citizens and Canadian Citizens. European and British Citizens: please visit your country’s official customs website.

At Your Service

By island custom, a 15% service charge is added to all food and beverage checks. Gratuities and added tips are typically between 10-15%.

Speak My Language

On St. Maarten, English and Dutch are the official languages. English is widely used and most inhabitants speak, write, and read English. on St. Martin, French is widely used. Other common languages are Spanish and Creole.

Smoking Section

All rooms at our resort are non-smoking. Smoking is only allowed on your patio or balcony and at designated smoking areas around the resort.

Who's Here?

According to the most recent census, more than 40,000 people live on St. Maarten’s Dutch side, and just under 35,000 people live on St. Maarten's French side.

What's the Time?

St. Maarten follows Atlantic Standard Time year-round. During the fall and winter, 12 p.m. on the east coast of the United States is 1 p.m. on the island.
