Divi Resorts, based in Chapel Hill, NC is looking for an experienced hospitality or travel sales professional to join our organization in Chapel Hill as Sales Manager. This is an individual contributor role that will be responsible for generating sales of facilities and services for our resorts in the Caribbean. Responsibilities will include developing and implementing sales actions plans to increase business from existing account as well as researching and soliciting new business. The Sales Manager will need to maintain position relationships with key accounts and customers, participate in the promotion of the resort by participating in community events, meeting and department of tourism sponsored activities.
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Sales professional for this role who has proven sales skills within the travel industry, preferably with Caribbean hotel/resorts. The Sales Manager must be familiar with, or quickly be able to develop a deep understanding of, the Dive market. Additionally, he/she must able to handle multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines. Strong sales, use of computer based programs such as Word, Excel and Power Point, excellent communication and problem solving skills are critical for this role. As the position may travel up to 50%, ability to travel is required. A bachelor's degree and bi-lingual (Spanish/French) is a plus.

ROOMS DIVISION MANAGER

The Executive Chef will be responsible for training and managing kitchen staff and supervising/coordinating all related culinary activities; estimating food consumption and requisitioning or purchasing of food. The Executive Chef will also manage the selection and development of recipes, standardization of production recipes to ensure consistent quality of all food preparation and planning and pricing of menus. Additional responsibilities will including ensuring that proper equipment is operational and that maintenance and proper safety and sanitation of kitchen/equipment is in place as well as cooking selected items based on catering needs, overseeing special catering events and offering culinary instruction and or demonstrating culinary techniques as needed. The Executive Chef directly supervises the kitchen staff. The ideal candidate for this position will possess 8+ years of industry and culinary management experience along with a bachelor's degree or related culinary degree. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on exceptional client and customer service. Previous experience with control of food and labor costs, demonstration cooking, menu development and pricing and development of a strong culinary team preferred.
