Cruzan Rum Distillery Tour

Take a break and enjoy the rum that inspired a whole island of slow & smooth. If you’ve got $5 and some free time to spare while you’re in St. Croix, take a tour of the Cruzan Rum Distillery. It’s the only historic distillery that is still producing rum on the island. Please note that we only accept credit or debit cards for payment.

Diving on St. Croix

Diving aficionados will delight in the wide variety of diving experiences available on this stunning island. With many beaches and plenty of crystal blue water to explore, St. Croix is a diver’s dream. Spend your visit to St. Croix exploring vibrant coral reefs, shipwrecks, river canyons, and dive the famous Cane Bay “Wall” that runs about 7 miles parallel to the North Shore of St. Croix. Cane Bay is rated as one of the top dive spots in the Caribbean with its beautiful, living coral garden full of soft and hard corals of every type as well as tropical fish and other aquatic life. The average year-round water temperature is around 81 degrees F and visibility ranges from 60’-100’.

With affordable half- and full-day tours, Jolly Roger water tours are the best way to see St. Croix and its surrounding waters. Snorkel uncrowded east end reefs, take a day trip to Buck Island, or enjoy fantastic views aboard a Sunset Sail cruise. No matter which option you choose, the whole family is sure to have an unforgettable time.

Buddhoe Park Remembering History

This park was the site of a slave uprising led by General Buddhoe, which took place on July 3, 1848. To commemorate the emancipation of thousands of slaves, St. Croix hosts a large annual celebration with live music, traditional African ceremonies, and a group prayer.

Apothecary Hall Museum Authentic Colonial Pharmacy

This authentically furnished 19th century Danish Colonial pharmacy was founded in 1820 and is currently a museum run by the St. Croix Archeological Society. During a visit to the recently restored Apothecary Hall Museum, you’ll see some of the original drug jars and pharmaceutical equipment that was used while it was open as well as artifacts from the Indian tribes that inhabited the island for more than 3,000 years, including handmade pottery, axe heads, beads, and an ancient canoe. Admission is free, and the museum is open midday Monday through Saturday.

Point Udall Easternmost Point of the US

Point Udall is the easternmost point of the United States. It is home to the Millennium Monument, a sundial built in 2000 to mark the first US sunrise of the year.

St. George Village Botanical Garden Plantation Ruins in Frederiksted

Explore the ruins of a 19th century sugar cane plantation, which features more than 17 acres of beautiful greenery and wildlife. The gardens are home to several different ecosystem and offer a wide range of carefully tended plants.
