FROM YEAR-ROUND RECYCLING, CONSERVATION, AND ECOLOGICAL RESPONSIVENESS, DIVI RESORTS IS COMMITTED TO HELPING OUR ISLANDS AND THE PLANET
Our mission is to offer the ultimate Caribbean vacation experience and to be among the most eco-friendly and community-friendly resorts in the hospitality industry. After all, the islands and mother earth are our home, and every member of our staff is committed to keeping them beautiful.
We monitor all of the water use on our properties and use water conservation methods whenever possible in our pools, guest rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, restaurants, dining areas, and landscaping.
We use timers on our electrical equipment, including air-conditioning units, jacuzzi jets, steam rooms at the spas, outdoor lighting for walkways, refrigeration equipment in the kitchens, and more, and we've installed energy-efficient fixtures, appliances, and equipment to reduce energy consumption. At select resorts, solar energy and LED lights are used.
At each property, we promote and sell local tours and attractions, providing special recognition to vendors who use green practices. We also invite local craft vendors to our hotels to display and sell craft items. Each resort also participates in our Divi Cares Initiative to give back to the local community.
Our team members participate in workshops, trainings, and seminars conducted internally and by environmental committees and local government organizations.
We determine the suitability and environmental impact of all products before they are purchased, and we provided full training for staff whenever new chemicals or equipment are purchased for use.
Our resorts are part of many environment and preservation projects. At each resort, we recycle and select resorts use their food waste to feed local farm animals or use as compost. On the island of Bonaire, we support marine ecology with our reef renewal project and our resort is a certified Blue Destination.
Divi Dive Bonaire, our popular dive operation at Divi Flamingo Beach Resort, is an integral part in the Bonaire's reef restoration effort in partnership with the Reef Renewal Foundation Bonaire. Along with educating visitors and residents about reef health, divers are actively adding new coral reef nurseries to the resort's famed Calabas house reef. Visiting divers can participate by purchasing and planting coral or making a donation to Reef Renewal Bonaire.
*When donating, we ask that you reference Divi Dive Bonaire for the recipient's name, so your donation goes directly to our reef.
We love to get involved in our local community and help improve the islands we call home. Our Divi Cares Initiative helps us do just that! We participate in beach clean-ups, host fundraising events, provide items for those in need, volunteer at animal shelters, sponsor local athletic teams, and so much more. Ask the Front Desk how you can get involved upon arrival!

In an effort to minimize our carbon footprint, reduce pollution, and protect native marine life, each of our Caribbean resorts on Aruba, Barbados, Bonaire, St. Croix, and St. Maarten eliminated single-use plastic straws in March 2018. These efforts help keep our beaches clean and our marine life thriving.
For over 50 years, Divi Resorts has focused on ensuring our guests enjoy healthy and safe Caribbean vacations. Our enhanced CLEAN CHECK program, which uses eco-friendly cleaning products and solutions, follows the recommendations of the Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the Ministries of Health on each island.
Guests can spot the CLEAN CHECK symbol throughout our resorts. We want our guests to have confidence every time they book a Divi Resorts vacation with peace of mind from check-in to farewell.
